Reflective Materials for Tunnel Drying – ESA REFLEX Certified Solutions
ESA REFLEX specializes in developing reflective materials engineered to withstand industrial tunnel drying processes. Our products, including B2067, MFR6033, and M6033, are designed with high-temperature-resistant adhesives and durable coating structures, making them ideal for use in automatic drying lines. These products have been extensively tested and certified by clients across Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and other global markets.
Key Tunnel Drying Test Parameters
1. Surface Appearance – Check for bubbling, yellowing, stickiness, delamination, or distortion.
2. Reflectivity Retention – Compare brightness (cd/lux·m²) before and after drying to ensure it meets safety visibility standards.
3. Bonding Strength / Peel Adhesion – Assess the adhesion between the reflective film or fabric and the garment base.
4. Dimensional Stability (Shrinkage) – Measure fabric shrinkage post-drying; must remain within ±3%.
5. Color Fastness of Base Fabric – Verify resistance to discoloration, bleeding, or fading.
6. Thermal Durability (Heat Aging) – Perform 150 °C cyclic heat tests to evaluate structural integrity.
7. Odor and Chemical Emissions – Ensure compliance with environmental safety standards; no harmful substances released.
Applicable International Test Standards
1. EN ISO 20471 – High visibility performance for reflective materials.
2. ANSI/ISEA 107 – North American visibility and reflectivity standards.
3. ISO 6330 – Domestic washing & drying simulation for fabric performance evaluation.
4. ISO 15797 – Industrial laundering and tunnel drying simulation (used in workwear evaluation).
5. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 – Ensures no harmful substances are released during heat exposure.
6. ISO 3175 – Compatibility with professional dry-cleaning processes.
7. ISO 13934-1 / ISO 13937-2 – Tensile and tear strength testing before and after drying.
Tunnel Drying Recommendations by Fabric Type
• Cotton / Poly-cotton: Pre-dry recommended; control temperature rise to reduce shrinkage.
• Fluorescent Polyester: Avoid overheating to prevent yellowing or color distortion.
• FR Fabrics (Aramid, etc.): Limit tunnel heat to ≤150 °C to preserve flame-retardant performance.
• TPU/PU Laminated Fabrics: Prevent delamination and bubbling by regulating airflow and duration.
• Stretch / Softshell Fabrics: Medium heat and speed recommended to avoid curling or shrinkage of reflective trims.
